The concept for this shoot was pop art. Wikipedia describes it as :
Pop art is an art movement that emerged in the mid-1950s in Britain and the late 1950s in the United States. Among the early artists that shaped the pop art movement were Eduardo Paolozzi and Richard Hamilton in Britain, and Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns in the United States.Basically, I cartonized our model. I drew lines on her face to mimic shadows. I also drew a tear to make her look like she was crying. On the lips I used black liner all round, then red lipstick and put some white also for the cartoon effect. For these particular shots I dotted her face and neck with white, to mimic dots found on pop art characters.
The photographer for this project was Gerald Murage Masolia.
My brother, Kevin Otieno, added graphics to complete the picture. He fashioned his graphics after the works of the great pop artist,Andy Warhol
