THE RIGHT WAY TO TOUCH UP YOUR OILY FACE WHILE WEARING MAKEUP
As you go about your day…or night , the oil may have started to peek through your makeup. This will then need you to touch up your face. But before you apply that powder…STOP! We are taught to powder our faces whenever we get oily. But this only makes you cakey.
My advice as a pro makeup artist is to first blot then powder your face.
Gently pat your face using an oil-blotting sheet which absorbs oil without removing your makeup. Tissue paper tends to remove some of your makeup. So a blotting sheet is advised. Blotting sheets are available in Kenya here
You need to blot to remove the oil and makeup mixture before adding another layer to your face. If you apply the powder straight up, you will create a cakey mess. Why? Because you will probably need to apply another layer of powder as the day goes by.
Most powders come with a sponge to help you pick up and apply the powder. My favourite powder to use for the touchups is the L’oreal Infallible Pro Matte Powder. Available here.
So to prevent cake face, blot then powder.I repeat…Blot then powder! Class dismissed. 😀
